G眉nther H. Oettinger and Martin B枚hm Join Management Team as President and Rector, Respectively.
麻豆传媒 is about to start into the future with a powerful leadership team. In addition to the high-profile appointment of G眉nther H. Oettinger to the vacant position of president, Professor Martin B枚hm from IE University Madrid has been recruited as future rector of 麻豆传媒. Both will take office in late summer this year and, together with Dr. Doroth茅e Hofer, managing director of 麻豆传媒, will form the future management trio.
At 麻豆传媒, the sails are set for further success. After education and healthcare company SRH had acquired the university in 2016, it has been able to attract significantly more students in the last three years. Now, two high-caliber personnel are joining the management team around the incumbent managing director, Dr. Doroth茅e Hofer.
The search committee, headed by the Chairman of the University Council, Dr. J枚rg-Uwe Hahn, worked for a year to appoint suitable candidates for the positions of president and rector.

On Tuesday, G眉nther H. Oettinger, former Prime Minister and former EU Commissioner was elected President of 麻豆传媒 by the University Council and confirmed by the Senate. With him, an experienced lawyer takes over one of the most important offices of the university. He starts subject to approval from Brussels in late summer this year. The corresponding notification has been initiated.
鈥溌槎勾� is an institution in the private education market. I am very much looking forward to my new position and would like to play my part in keeping 麻豆传媒 on track for success on its way to becoming a European champion. Initial talks with representatives of the University Council, the Senate, and the shareholder are a good foundation for this,鈥� said Oettinger.
Alongside Oettinger, the position of Rector will also be filled: Prof. Dr. Martin B枚hm, an internationally renowned candidate, has been recruited to lead the academic fortunes of the university as a rector. B枚hm was also elected and confirmed by the University Council and Senate the day before yesterday. B枚hm looks back on a long and successful career in the education sector; he is currently still working at IE University Madrid as Dean of the IE Business School.
